California is coming to Hometown Line
You’re in the right place, and the whole site is open to you. We only show scores a state’s association lets us read and credit, and California’s aren’t readable yet. Here’s how St. Francis gets on, and how to play in the meantime.
Play this Friday anyway
Every game on the board is open to you, in any state. Call the week’s biggest games, or follow a state next door.
Getting St. Francis on the site
California’s scores aren’t on the site yet. The CIF runs only the state bowls; its sections keep the season on sites that turn automated readers away. Our California results come from Cal-Hi Sports, credited. We’ve written to California Interscholastic Federation asking to show them, credited to it, and we’re waiting on its answer.
Coach or athletic director? You don’t have to wait on the association: put St. Francis’s season on the site yourself through the Team Desk, in about ten minutes.

Everything above comes from St. Francis’s own article — except the few lines that name a different one — and is real. Hometown Line also runs a scoring model over California high school football. Every prediction it makes is the model’s own. Where California publishes a schedule the site may read, the games ahead are that schedule; where it does not, the fixtures ahead are generated so the model has something to predict. A result is shown only where its source is named.
